Fiona studied graphic design at Kingston University. Following a career in children's book design she went on to study contemporary portraiture at The Art Academy, London.

Working from her studio in North Yorkshire, Fiona uses a range of media to explore her interest in people and portraiture. As a former Olympic rower she has a soft spot for painting oarsmen and women.
